ASASA – Revolutionizing Asset Management for Unilever Pakistan

The Institution

Unilever, one of the largest consumer goods’ company globally, started its operations in Pakistan 75 years ago. The company has currently over 30 brands in the market with 90% penetration in the Pakistani market.

The Gap

Unilever Pakistan faced the challenge of ensuring the security and visibility of thousands of its assets across the supply chain. The annual asset loss was estimated at 10% with the added problems of manually tracking and maintaining the records the assets of this large organization.

The Technology Intervention

Telenor IoT division, in partnership with SyntecX, provided Unilever Pakistan the Auxo Asset: a platform powered by asasa. Asasa is a smart-phone based solution utilizing smart tags for real-time asset tracking. It started with the tracking of over 84,000 freezers in Walls Cold Chain across Pakistan in 2018. In 2024, the number of assets being tracked has reached 350,000.
